2010 Richmond Chapter Scholarship Winner Announced

 

 

The Richmond Chapter of the Virginia Society of CPAs is pleased to congratulate Jonathan Christian South for earning the 2010 Accounting Excellence Scholarship awarded by the Richmond Chapter.

 

Mr. South will graduate from Mills E. Godwin High School in June 2010 and will enter Virginia Tech in the fall of 2010 to pursue a degree in Accounting and Information Systems.  Mr. South has maintained a 4.24 GPA and is actively involved with the Godwin Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and its community service activities.  Mr. South also participates in the Student Organization for Developing Attitudes, which is a service organization that sends Godwin students twice a month to the 6th grade of Godwin’s feeder middle school to serve as a mentor to middle school students.  Mr. South also attended the Ethics and Career Pathways Forum through J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. 

 

After the completion of college, Mr. South would like to acquire at least five years of experience with a public accounting firm before beginning his own business. 

 

The Richmond Chapter of the VSCPA is proud of Mr. South’s accomplishments and looks forward to him joining the CPA community.
